Happy Belated Mother's Day

Happy Belated Mother's Day to all the mother's out there. We had a great day, relaxed and had a great dinner at Taco Diner in Southlake. I was in heaven with all my kiddos. We were able to eat on the patio which was great for Evan's sake, Mr. I can only sit still for 15 minutes. He was able to watch the birds and planes flying over. Quinlan did great, he had the special....a la formula! Cassidy and Evan shared a cheeseburger, at a Mexican Restaurant, and Dion and I had tacos.
We added a new family member this weekend as well. Her name is Nike and she is cute as can be! She is 7 years old and is absolutely attached to Cassidy.

Happy Belated Birthday Uncle Damian!!
Cassidy had a volleyball game Saturday, actually two, and poor girls lost both games, and all matches. So sad, but Cassidy is soooooooo good at Volleyball! I think she takes after her mom! She is number 9. I forgot my real camera I had to use my phone.

Some new pictures!

LOL...That is all I have to say....

This was a funny funny day. It all started with Dion. He sleeps on the couch in the living room during the week, no not because I make him, but because he gets home late from work, eats and watches t.v to fall asleep. He uses a t.v tray to set his food and drink on. Evan woke up at about 9 so I brought him out to the living room and we were watching t.v. I saw him walk around this t.v stand a million times, and never once did I think that I should put that huge glass of tea, that Dion left there, away. Evan kept tapping on Dion, ok hitting Dion, to try and wake him up, but it was still early so Dion was not getting up. Evan is completely cabelized by Curious George that he backs up hits the t.v tray, the tray crashes down, Dion jumps up and right at that moment the tea hits the ground and SLING SHOTS back up right onto Dion's face! Oh my dear, I must have laughed for an hour! He was dripping with tea! It was High-Larious! That was LOL number 1.

Quinlan was having a good ol' time in his swing. He was so happy smiling, cooing just livin it up. That lasted about 15 minutes, and then he was full on screaming. He was wrapped in a blanket so I picked him and the blanket up and laid down to feed him, but something was wrong, my arm was wet...my shirt was wet...my pants were wet...and well just see below as to why!
BABY BLOWOUT!!!!

Evan's Two Year Check-Up

Evan had his two year check up. He was 37lbs 37.5 inches and his big noggin was 20 inches. Kid has some brains in there!!! His height and weight were both in the 97th percentile and his head was in the 90th percentile. Big Boy! Hopefully this means he will be tall, unlike his daddio! :) He did also have to get a shot and a finger prick to check his iron...um lets just say he did not like that! He cried and cried and kept saying owie owie and pulled all the band aids off right away. I honestly think he thought the band aids is what was hurting him since he never saw the needles. He is so cute!

Happy Boy so far....
Waiting for Doc, reading a book....

Getting his finger pricked....

Oh yeah he didn't like it....
Quinlan was so patient...

Swine Flu...

This is starting to get scary. Cassidy's school called today to let us know that they had probable cases in the school district...well thats just great! We are now not sure if we should send her to school or not.

Evan is not feeling well. He has a runny nose and is sounding congested. I may be taking him to the doctor tomorrow just to be sure he is ok. I mean there is a swine flu running around right now.

Other than that not a whole lot else is new. Quinlan is starving so I will cut this short.

March 20, 2009

What a day! Quinlan Grant was brought into this world! That morning I arrived at the hospital at 5:00 a.m! I had to get there so early to do all the prep work, and into surgery at 7:00. All went smoothly and before I knew it I was walking to the OR. That is so scary. I was so incredibly nervous. After a few minutes of trying to get the dreaded spinal in, it finally happened. Minutes later at 7:16 Quinlan was born. He took a huge gulp of amniotic fluid when they pulled him out and had some trouble clearing it out. It took awhile for them to get him clear. NICU nurses were called in, it was quite scary. Once he was cleared they finally weighed him and yelled out that he weighed 5lbs 6 oz....what?!?!? They misread the scale. He was 9lbs 5.6 oz! Holy Cow! Never in a million years did I think I would have a baby that big! Here is what I looked like the day before I had him.

I was definitely huge, and I guess that shows right there why I had such a big boy!

I was sent to recovery for a couple of hours and this time, unlike with Evan, Quinlan came into recovery with me. I did not have to be seperated from him at all. He was even given his first bath in recovery. Evan had to have his first bath in the nursery without me!
Quinlan was born on Friday and after a long hospital stay we were released on Monday. We had so many visitors come to see us, it was wonderful! Oma and Papa were here for the weekend and Oma got to stay here for the first two weeks of Quinlan's life. It was so nice to have my mom here! She was a lifesaver. Cassidy and Evan were able to spend some time with their new brother they were so excited. Aunt Rinna Uncle Ken, Gannon, Marissa, Reanna, Aunt Lily, Uncle Greg, Noah, Aunt Angleica, Uncle Damian, Lela, Granpa, Erin, Liz Solis, Liz Hammell, Ally, Diana, Amber, Ronnie, Anna Grace, Chandler, Ryan, Leanne, and Jason were all able to come and visit with Quinlan.

We went home from the hospital Monday March 23, 2009. We adjusted nicely. Evan was not so sure of the baby, he seemed to want to poke him and hit on him more than anything.

Life with Quinlan, Evan and Cassidy has never been better! They are the light of our lives, absolute joys to have!
