Evan-isms
Evan is just at that awesome age where everyday he says or does something that just cracks me up. I finally figured I would try and keep them all written down somewhere and then add them here.
I have a hard time getting him into the bathtub, why, well that is because he thinks that the water is getting to "big" and I must turn it off immediately, only when there is 2 inches in the tub. Once he is in the tub things are great, until it's time to get out all hell then breaks loose again. I must hurry and snatch Quinlan up and all the toys so that they do not go down the drain! It is total chaos.
This morning as he was getting ready to eat his breakfast at the bar (it over looks the sink) I had some meat defrosting in there, the dishwasher washing and he was extremely upset because "the meat was crying". I needed to hurry and rescue the meat! (the dishwasher sounds were the meat crying)
Evan tried his hardest to convince me to let him go in a spaceship he said "I be berry careful mommy" :)
and for good measure, here is this cute boy!

Fun in San Antonio
We had a really good weekend in San Antonio. Just hanging out, eating, and having a very good time! This hat Cassidy bought was a real hit!
My new puppy! Isn't he the cutest?
And Mr. Adventure, the rainy cold weather didn't slow him down from expoloring one bit.
The real treat was spending time with Heather, Matt, and Hallie and seeing my mom and dad get to spend time with their first GREAT-Grandchild! It was truly amazing.

She makes me so proud...
She gave me the name mom, she was my first born, my only girl, she has grown up to be such a beauty, so witty, loving, and a damn good volleyball player. She is blossoming daily, turning into a mini me. Is that a good thing or a bad thing?
My hopes and dreams are that she will be successful at whatever she decides to do. So far she is becoming pretty successful at this...
My one true love when I was her age was volleyball. I didn't do much with it. I hope that by us giving her the chance to play more intensely be coached more thoroughly play more competitively that this will take her to many places, successful, fulfilling places.

It's been awhile...
We had an excellent holiday. Why does it always have to go by so fast? All the hustle and bustle and then BAM it's all done! And now we find ourselves in 2011, a new year a new beginning, but beginning of what? Failed New Year's resolutions? New outlook on life? I made one resolution and that resolution was to make no resolutions. I will enjoy each and everyday to the fullest because tomorrow is never promised!
Here is to a healthy and happy 2011!

Thankful for so many things
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend. It was the first Thanksgiving in quite sometime that we were able to go somewhere. Dion usually works Thanksgiving so this was nice to be able to get away spend some time with family and enjoy a nice road trip.
Yes, we definitely had fun at Missy and James house. To much fun? Never.
The boys did a little fishing, or I guess we could call it throwing your line out into the water and feeding whatever may be under the water whatever was on the line...ha they didn't catch a thing. Thanfully we had chicken wings, ribs and a lot of other food.
Aw yes the sites and sounds of karoke, I mean dancing and singing over and over to the recorded American Music Awards...I wouldn't know anything about any of this :) raise your glass!
We were able to hit the beach for a little while and attempt a family portrait...yeah well you see how that turned out and this was the best one...
So thankful for my family and friends!
