Motivation

Motivation is the internal condition that activates behavior and gives it direction; and energizes and directs goal-oriented behavior...

How many times have you "decided" that you were going to do something, but something else got in the way and you just didn't get it done?

This happens to me on a daily basis, and I am trying to get out of this rut I am stuck in. I never have and never will like to work out. I do like the way it makes me feel but I just can not figure out how to make my brain like it. The solution to all a person's problems in life lie within theirself.

Even the decision to FIND something motivational is within your control. You choose your own games in life...whether they are fun, boring, dangerous, sad, or whatever...YOU are the one who chooses them. The decision never comes from "out there somewhere".

So the only real motivation comes from within...from YOUR DECISION TO TAKE ACTION. And the decision I have made is to get up and go run, eventhough Quinlan is crying, Evan is still in pajamas, and Cassidy is bored. I must take care of myself!!!

Until then...here are a few pictures.

Deep Freeze

We have some cold weather here today, Cassidy even had a snow day, eventhough there was no snow, there was some serious ice on the roads. How is is that it will not be above freezing for three days but get no snow? So unfair. If our windchills are going to be below 0 then we should have snow! Tonights low 14 tomorrow's low 12, love it!!!!

Happy 2010!!

Already a new year! Hard to believe how fast time flies. I have so many resolutions but I need to try and stick to a few.

1. Work out/lose weight...I know I know who doesn't have this one?
2. Keep up with my blog better.
3. Be more organized with my house and my pictures.
4. Be a better person overall!
This is a great way to ring in the New Year! love you Dion

Nothing like a zonked out baby and soon to be zonked out Daddy. New Year's did them in.

White Christmas 2009

First White Christmas since 1920! Unbelievable! It was beautiful, everything I ever expected and I finally didn't feel stupid singing about a white Christmas! We are so blessed, snow, family and a just an all around good time. Santa was great to all of usand I am sad that it is all over. I think I seriously suffer from the holiday blues.
My mom making tamales on Christmas Eve.
Cassidy opening a present on Christmas Eve. A tradition we have done for a very long time now.

This picture was just to cute not to post. Marissa and Quinlan
It snowed all day on Christmas Eve and we finally went out that night to play in the snow, it was cold! It lasted all day Christmas Day and even a few days after. Reanna, Marissa and Gannon on Christmas Eve
Christmas morning, of course Quinlan enjoyed the paper, the boxes, and playing on the boxes. He had so much fun!
Evan truly enjoyed Christmas this year. To see his face light up with the presents was priceless.
Cassidy and her new iPod touch.
After presents we went out for a walk in the snow. What a beautiful beautiful end to our Christmas morning.
The dogs had a great time in the snow as well!

Quinlans Baptism

Quinlan was baptized December 19, 2009. It was great. Quinlan was an absolute angel so cute! I am so glad that we had it done. Rodrigo and Iliana were the Godparents. Thank you so much.

Look at my angel!
He loved the water, he wanted to play in it when all was said and done.
Iliana and Rodrigo

9 months

I just can not believe that Quinlan is 9 months, and since I am so late on this post he will actually be 10 months old in a couple of weeks. It makes me so sad because he is getting so big, but yet so happy because he is doing great, and is so healthy! I love him so much I can not imagine life without him! My little momma's boy has 6 teeth, wears 12 month clothing, is a size 5 diaper, weighs 24lbs, and loves to eat anything and everything! He amazes me everyday. He is starting to walk along things, I am pretty sure he will be walking before he is a year!
